Praxis Health operates as a clinically-led service. These standards set out our approach to confidentiality, data handling, governance, and professional practice.
Clinical confidentiality
All consultations are private and confidential. Individual results are never shared with employers. Where organisations receive reporting, this is anonymised and aggregated at group level only. Employees can speak openly, knowing their personal data remains their own.
Data handling
Clinical data is handled in strict accordance with:
- UK GDPR
- Data Protection Act 2018
- ICO guidance on health data
Data is stored securely and accessed only where necessary for clinical purposes. Records are retained in line with standard occupational health practice (typically 8 years) and disposed of securely thereafter.
Clinical governance
Praxis Health operates within defined clinical boundaries. Our screening services are designed to identify early indicators of health risk -- they do not constitute diagnosis or treatment. Where findings warrant further attention, individuals are advised to follow up with their GP or an appropriate healthcare provider. Where immediate guidance is clinically indicated, this is provided at the point of screening.
Duty of care
All screenings are delivered in accordance with professional standards and duty of care obligations. Where results indicate elevated risk, clear and proportionate guidance is given to the individual. In cases where findings suggest a need for urgent clinical attention, appropriate steps are taken in line with professional judgement and responsibility.
Complaints and concerns
Individuals with concerns about the service or their screening experience are encouraged to contact us directly at info@praxishealth.uk All concerns are taken seriously and responded to within 5 working days. Where a concern relates to clinical practice, it will be reviewed in line with our governance procedures.
Professional standards
All screenings are delivered by registered nurses regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Practice aligns with the NMC Code, including the principles of prioritising people, practising effectively, preserving safety, and promoting professionalism and trust.
Indemnity
All clinical activities are covered by appropriate professional indemnity insurance, held by both Praxis Health and the delivering clinician.
