About Praxis Health
Built from experience on both sides
Praxis was shaped by seeing the same blind spot from two different perspectives: as a registered nurse, and as a founder responsible for a growing team.

Alex — founder, Praxis Health
"My name is Alex. I have been a registered nurse since 1987, and spent more than twenty years running a health and medical communications agency."
These two careers produce a very specific kind of understanding regarding what health risk looks like in clinical terms and what it costs a business in practical ones.
"In clinical settings, I could see the pathology.
In business, I could see the cost of missing it.
Praxis was built to bridge that gap."
- Alex, Founder, Praxis Health
The clinical background
I worked in A&E at one of London’s busiest hospitals. Emergency medicine teaches you to assess risk quickly, communicate clearly under pressure, and explain difficult findings without losing sight of the person in front of you.
Later work in general practice revealed something different. Most health risk builds slowly and quietly. Blood pressure rises over years. Metabolic risk accumulates without symptoms. Stress becomes normalised.
By the time something presents as a health event, the underlying process has often been running for a long time.
That perspective shapes every screening day.
The aim is not simply to run tests, but to understand what the results mean - and to say that clearly.
The business perspective
Running a company for two decades means carrying responsibility for a team, making decisions with incomplete information, and recognising, sometimes too late, that someone is running on empty.
Most founders have instinct. Very few have clinical visibility.
Praxis was designed to provide that.

Not a platform.
Not a programme.
A person.
I review every enquiry personally and give a clear recommendation, including whether screening is the right step at this stage.
Why personal matters
When you work with Praxis, you work with me directly.
For larger screening days, Alex works alongside a small, trusted group of registered nurses. There is no account manager, no centralised system, no corporate layer between you and the clinical expertise.
No account managers. No gatekeepers. No corporate layer.
